R.I.P. J.D.

“What I was really hanging around for, I was trying to feel some kind of a good-by. I mean I've left schools and places I didn't even know I was leaving them. I hate that. I don't care if it's a sad good-by, or a bad good-by, but when I leave a place I like to know I'm leaving it. If you don't, you feel even worse.”

Thursdays are the worst days.

  1. poopie! i thought of you immediately when i heard the news and wondered how you were taking it :C gosh...

also i updated my fb status "RIP JD" too. ~~sad~~

  2. You chose a beautiful quote that I know resonates with you. Sad news.... A mysterious man a beautiful novel extraordinary short stories. He still captures the imagination of young people... I've chatted with quite a few students at DHS who tell me they didn't like reading until they picked up Catcher. I bought two copies in Spanish to give to my ELs who are in 11th grade English this year. I'm interested to see how it resonates with them. May his memory be forever a blessing to future generations. He certainly lives on through his words. I love you for posting this and I love you.
